Phoenix-Dragon Trading Company is a Sino-American partnership formed for the express purpose of importing genuine, organic Chinese Tea, Chinese Medicinal Teas and Ningxia Goji Berries to the West.  We deal exclusively in tea that has been triple certified by O.T.R.D.C., the Chinese entity governing tea farms, processing facilities and handlers.  Our Goji Berries are certified organic under USDA NOP and China Green Certificate Standards, are certified Kosher and are produced/processed to ISO 9001 Standards.  These multiple certifications assure our valued customers of only the finest in natural and organic products.

Why Chinese Tea?
All genuine tea is derived from the Camellia Senensis plant which is indigenous only to China.  While cultivation of tea has spread halfway around the world, the combination of altitude, climate, soil composition, hand tending, harvesting, processing and experience remains unique to Chinese Tea.  For example, Japan has a history of tea cultivation that goes back to approximately 800 A.D.; the people of China have consumed tea as their primary beverage (second only to water) for over four thousand years.

Many varieties of Chinese Tea, including several offered by Phoenix-Dragon, consist of leaf harvested from wild trees, some of which are over one thousand years of age.  Only in China can one find tea trees of this age, producing leaves that have been nurtured, harvested, roasted in woks over an open flame, sorted and meticulously rolled, all at the hands of small farmers and tea masters who devote their lives to only one purpose, developing the finest teas in the world.  Virtually all Chinese Tea is tended and processed in this way; the mechanical cultivation and harvesting common in Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and other countries is all but unknown in China.  Uniformity is never the objective; perfection is the constant goal.  The very nature of this method ensures that every cup carries something unique, something of the culture and people of China.  Drinking our tea is a constantly changing experience, an adventure that will keep you coming back time and again to renew your acquaintance with one of mankind’s oldest traditions.
